SendToLebanon

About this site

Why SendToLebanon exists

Since the banking crisis, the question that matters when sending money to Lebanon is not really "what is the exchange rate" — it is whether your family receives actual US dollars or a bank balance they cannot freely withdraw.

The established Lebanese-lira rate trackers answer the first question well and the second one not at all. This site is built around the second.

We are not a money-transfer operator and are not affiliated with OMT, Whish Money or Western Union. Where a link earns us a commission, we say so on the how we are funded page.

How the data is kept current

Wise publishes live fees and rates. OMT and Whish Money are researched by hand and reviewed monthly. Because the practical question in this corridor is what form the money arrives in, every provider card states the payout form explicitly rather than only the headline fee.

If you spot a figure that is out of date or wrong, that is genuinely useful — it is the fastest way this gets corrected. You can reach us through the contact details on this page while a dedicated channel is being set up.
